Investigating friction spin welding of thermoplastics in shear joint configuration

چکیده

Abstract The welding of thermoplastic pipes under a shear joint configuration using friction spin is investigated. consists two cylindrical and concentric polypropylene plastic parts joined with each other at their interfacing surfaces through frictional heat generation. effects pressure rotational velocity on the overlap distance strength between are evaluated. study specific application in making vessels joining pipes. tested by conducting hydraulic burst test. test conducted for welded specimens manufactured different values pressure. It observed that constant velocities, range 64.8 to 65.2 kPa produced better than overall 64–76 kPa. concluded suitable manufacture 64.5 Further, it established user can control selectively controlling 700 2500 rpm.
